This was Bath’s modern shopping centre. I expect some very nice buildings were demolished back in the sixties, to make way for the new and then modern shopping mall.  Bath is now very excited that the mall is finally going, to make way for a new beautiful Southgate. It will be completed  in 2010. Don’t hold me to that one, the council is in charge, I am only the webmaster. Click here for Demolition Pictures . The bus station will also be demolished

The building on the left was the shopping mall, with a rear exit to the bus
station, which will also get the treatment. See below.

Right at the end of Southgate St was a building many Bath residents were
keen to save,  but all the demonstrations fell on deaf ears. The building was
called Churchill House
